As far as I know Rio's only appearance in DoA was in DoA Paradise for the PSP and later for the PS Vita on the PS Store. If you have a PSP or a PS Vita you can get DoA Paradise for both systems.

So technically Rio did return for another go on the PS Vita even if it's only on a port of the PSP DoA Paradise game.

Also DoA Paradise was the last DoA game to use the old DoA 3D graphics. I noticed that the 3D graphics changed in DoA 5. So if Team Ninja brings Rio back for DoA 6 they'll have to redesign Rio again from the ground up. So there's a good chance that Rio will NOT show up in the fighting DoA 6 game.

Rio probably won't return in another DoA game. Rio was brought up at an hearing as one of the returning DoA girls when they return to New Zack Island in Xtreme 3. Sadly, she didn't make the cut and was removed from the cast list.

Rio, Christine, Tina, Lisa and Leifang didn't make it into Xtreme 3's cast list so they won't be returning to New Zack Island in Xtreme 3 for another vacation.

Poor Rio can't seem to get a break...
